Saltpot Muriwai Sands

ABOUT

This warm, eye-catching tonal design is inspired by the sands of Muriwai Beach, found on the North Island of New Zealand.

Set against the dark black stoneware clay, the glazes are layered to reflect the tones created by water and sand. From the dark wet sand, to the lighter dry warm sand with the occasional white spray of the water or sea foam.

ABOUT MY MATERIALS

My homewares are all food-safe. 
This means they have no harmful chemicals 
in the glazes I purchase or mix from trusted & tested recipes.  I use (lead free and food safe) glazes on all homewares.

RECOMMENDED CARE

My home ware items are dishwasher safe.  
However, it is recommended that you 
hand-wash ceramic items.
A thorough was will ensure your vessel will 
last longer.  Every now and then, it can also 
be place in the dishwasher to deep clean 
the glaze and exposed clay body.

I do not cover my items entirely with glaze.  I prefer to honour the clay by showing more of it.
